Hi! I’m Bev! A Personal Note from the Founder of BALM

BALM | August 26, 2020

I’m Bev and I’m the founder of the Be A Loving Mirror Programs and author of our text BALM: The Loving Path to Family Recovery.

24 years after I helped my husband gain and then helped him lose his recovery, I woke up one day to realize that I could help him gain recovery once more and stop making it harder for him to sustain his gains.

So I did. Both times, 36 years ago and then again 12 years ago, I used a technique now known as Be A Loving Mirror (BALM).

Since then, I have taught this method to thousands of family members around the world and watched them help their loved ones attain and sustain recovery, just as I did.

And I’m here today to tell you that you can do what we have done. In fact, it’s my mission to help you blaze the trail to recovery from addiction in your home.

When I helped my husband the first time, in 1986, he gave a talk to a room full of other recovering people and said, “I am here because of my wife.” I asked him to never say that again or I would get thrown out of my support group! In those days, the party line was: It’s his problem. He’s gotta solve it.

But today, after taking thousands of families through the Be A Loving Mirror process and watching the 80 coaches I’ve trained do the same thing, I know that’s not true!

Who else but you can make the impact your loved one yearns for?

You ARE your loved one’s BEST chance at recovery and with the BALM Program, you get step by step guidance to bring that truth into your home!

With a full year online family recovery education and support program and highly trained coaches to work one on one with families, the BALM is here to help you become your loved one’s best chance at recovery!

So what are you waiting for?

It’s your family’s time!
