INTRO TO THE BALM

BALM Family Recovery (BALM) is a program designed to help families help themselves, so they, in turn, can help their struggling loved ones.

Itā€™s a unique program that is based on love and connection and helps families shift away from anxious reactivity to calm responsiveness.

As a certified BALM Family Recovery Life Coach, you'll become proficient in the BALM program and acquire advanced life coaching skills.

In addition, you may choose electives such as Practicum or Business Development to advance your career.

Our mission is to help all families blaze the trail to recovery in their homes.

Since 2012, the BALM has helped over 2,000 families and trained over 100 coaches.

It's the first and only ICF Level 2 accredited coach training program in the U.S. to focus on family recovery.

We now offer Level 1 Coach Training as well.

WHAT OUR COACHES ARE SAYING

BALM coaching

ā€œBeing certified as a BALM Family Recovery Life Coach and BALM 12 Principles Facilitator, I have received far more referrals and clients as classes are often a desirable entry point for families. I now have the opportunity to expand what I can do for families through partnering with treatment centers and addiction specialists to offer BALM courses and coaching, while in return increasing my client base.ā€

ā€œI was introduced to the power of Life Coaching over 30 years ago. Working in hospitality management for 30-plus years, I envisioned myself becoming a career coach before my life turned upside down by the suicide death of my oldest son in 2011. Fast forward to September 13th, 2019 when I received an email with an advertisement for Family Recovery Life Coaching Certification from BALM. The following week I attended the first of many classes that absolutely transformed me. The education I received challenged my belief system and placed me on a path to self-discovery which has only continued to blossom as I build my own family recovery coaching business. We are on a lifelong journey, and we choose how we wish to live every moment of every day. BALM has taught me how to reach deep down, to find my true purpose, and thrive as Founder of Imagine Family Recovery LLC.ā€

MEET OUR FOUNDER

Beverly Buncher, MA, PCC, CBFRLC, CTPC

Iā€™m Bev Buncher and I started the BALM Coach Training program because there wasnā€™t an ICF fully accredited Family Recovery Life Coach Training program out in the coaching world and the need for this level of training and support was enormous for this population.

The BALM difference families and coaches often talk about is found in the emphasis we place on love, peace, and connection right from the start along with mindfulness, presence, and evidence-based family recovery and coaching practices.

This inside-out program is playing a role in bringing the field of family recovery to a whole new level. Iā€™m proud to have started this program and even prouder of the graduates who complete our program and go out into the world making a difference in familiesā€™ lives.

I invite you to become a BALM coach so you can master the BALM and coaching and join us in our mission of helping ALL families blaze the trail to recovery in their homes.
