A One-Night Zoom Concert with Matt Butler and Movie to Inspire Recovery

BALM, BALM 7 Steps Online Retreat | November 4, 2020

Music is the language of the soul. What one cannot express verbally, one can do so through music.

Such is the life story of Matt Butler, Recovery Folk Singer, who wrote and performed the song “Just One More”, the theme song for the movie Generation Found.

On November 7, 2020, at 7:30 PM EST, as part of the BALM® 7 Steps Online Retreat, we will be showing the movie Generation Found, a movie that inspires and look into the miracles of healing of one of the communities of the largest city in America.

This Zoom concert is FREE for all retreat participants and their household. For the general public, there is a minimal ticket fee of $10. More info here.

We will be honoring Sasha McLean, Executive Director of Archway Academy of Houston featured in the movie.

We are also bringing Matt Butler, Recovery Folk Singer, for a one night only Zoom concert.

Matt Butler will perform the song “Just One More” and many more as he shares his story of how helping just one more person to find and sustain recovery through his musical performances and recording.

Generation Found

One of the most popular documentary movies about recovery from substance use disorder is Generation Found.

If you or a family member had been down the path to recovery or is in recovery, this is one movie that you will find uplifting and inspirational.

This 2016 docu-movie features Archway Academy of Houston, a teen recovery high school, and how the community helped in the recovery of teens and saving them from the epidemic of substance abuse and death.

It is remarkable how visionary counselors, law school dropouts, aspiring rock musicians, retired football players, oil industry executives, church leaders and citizens had come together to ignite youth addiction recovery in their hometown and build the world’s largest peer-driven youth and family recovery community.

“This is a powerful movie that took an unprecedented and intimate look at how a system of treatment centers, sober high schools, alternative peer groups, and collegiate recovery programs can exist in concert to intervene early and provide a real and tested long-term alternative to the ‘War on Drugs’.” -IMDB
