Generation Found
One of the most popular documentary movies about recovery from substance use disorder is Generation Found.
If you or a family member had been down the path to recovery or is in recovery, this is one movie that you will find uplifting and inspirational.
This 2016 docu-movie features Archway Academy of Houston, a teen recovery high school, and how the community helped in the recovery of teens and saving them from the epidemic of substance abuse and death.
It is remarkable how visionary counselors, law school dropouts, aspiring rock musicians, retired football players, oil industry executives, church leaders and citizens had come together to ignite youth addiction recovery in their hometown and build the world’s largest peer-driven youth and family recovery community.
āThis is a powerful movie that took an unprecedented and intimate look at how a system of treatment centers, sober high schools, alternative peer groups, and collegiate recovery programs can exist in concert to intervene early and provide a real and tested long-term alternative to the ‘War on Drugs’.” -IMDBĀ Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā
