Tips for the Holiday Season!

The winter holiday season is upon us. Traditionally seen as a time of light and joy, for all too many families impacted by addiction and mental health challenges, holiday time is a time of pain and darkness.

In BALM, families learn to strengthen themselves with inner peace, gratitude and hope in order to retain the holiday spirit for themselves and those around them.

If you are facing the challenges the holidays can bring to families impacted by addiction, here are a few tips to help you get through the next few weeks with peace and joy, regardless of the situation you are facing.

Have a breathing practice that you use regularly.

Keep A Gratitude Journal

Tip #3

Make a list of all the beautiful things about your struggling loved one, and all of your happiest memories with them and about them.
